Physician Assistant Students at GHSU

Students in the Physician Assistant program at Georgia Health Sciences University were concerned about the availability of flu shots for Augusta’s homeless. They decided to raise funds to buy the shots for the homeless and recently distributed the shots and provided health screenings free of charge.

The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals, has awarded Champion of Learning status to the USG System Office, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University for their commitment to learning. Selected organizations are designated as ASTD Champions of Learning and receive awards as part of a community and state wide PR campaign aimed at business, governmental and professional leaders.
