The Multicultural Economy
The Selig Center for Economic Growth annually produces a comprehensive report of consumer buying power in the United States. Buying power is defined as disposable income that is available for spending after taxes.
The Mulitcultural Economy report provides state-level buying power estimates broken down by race (white, black, Asian, American Indian) and ethnicity (Hispanic). The 2010 report includes current-year buying power estimates, buying power projections through 2015 and historical data going back to 1990 to provide a measure of growth trends in all 50 states.
The Mulitcultural Economy report is now available for purchase. Visit our online store or complete a printable order form (PDF | 88 KB)
Media interested in receiving a PDF copy of the 2010 report should contact David Dodson in the Terry College’s Office of Marketing and Communications.
