Depending on the circles they run in, Terry College students and alumni frequently traffic in some unusual-sounding terms. When you hear them talking about PDLP, PLAP, ESSJ, Five Core Values, and Locus of Control, the umbrella acronym that encompasses all of those is ILA.

Shirley Franklin was elected the first African-American woman mayor of a major southern city in 2002 and served two terms in Atlanta until 2009.

Tim Chapman co-founded Stadion in 1991, having begun his investment career in 1981 while studying economics at the University of Georgia. In 1991, he helped create the technology-driven actively managed investment model that is the cornerstone of Stadion's investment management success.
