About MBA-level Courses in Risk Management and Insurance

Insurance faculty and student
Professor David Eckles lectures on insurance brokerage and risk management.

The full-time Terry MBA Program allows students to select elective courses in various areas. MBA-level courses in Risk Management and Insurance provide students with a framework for understanding the management of risk by businesses. They are designed to facilitate understanding of the various aspects of risk management and insurance, and to provide opportunities to apply the knowledge gained on these topics to business situations.

The implications of financial, operational and other risks for businesses are considered in an integrated, enterprise-wide framework. The risk management and insurance electives provide a foundation for careers in corporate risk management, risk management consulting, employee benefits management/consulting, and insurance brokerage.
