MSIT 3000H: Statistical Analysis for Business I (Honors)

Application of statistics to business. Descriptive statistics, sampling procedures, random variables, sampling distributions of the means and proportions, estimation and inference, simple linear regression, an introduction to multiple regression, and categorical data models are emphasized. A current statistical software package for microcomputers is utilized to analyze business data. Non-traditional format: Honors Program students meet for additional break-out sessions. Offered every year.

Not open to students with credit in MSIT 3000 or MSIT 3001 or MSIT 3001H or STAT 3000. Prerequisite: ( ACCT 2101 or ACCT 2101H) and ( MIST 2090 or MIST 2190H or CSCI 1100-1100L) and permission of Honors. Prerequisite or corequisite: ( MARK 3000 or MARK
