Basketball Finally Returns Home!
2. 8. 2012 - Men's Basketball
Alumni Memorial Hall has been silent for way too long! However, that all changes Thursday as Gordon College welcomes Waycross College to Barnesville for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. This is also just the beginning for fans as the Highlanders play six out of the final eight games at home. Tonight's contest is important in the conference race as GC is 4 - 6 while the Swamp Foxes are 6 - 5. In January, Waycross defeated the Highlanders 78 - 67 on their home court. The tables are now turned as WC will face a boisterous crowd and a team eager to even the series. Admission for tonight's game is $5.00 while children 14 and under are FREE!

Friday's doubleheader is set for 4 p.m. while Saturday's pair will begin at noon. The Chargers were the 2011 Region 7 champions and closed out last season with an impressive 34 - 14 mark.
Weekend Play Encouraging For Softball
2. 7. 2012 - Softball
The results of the first spring softball tournament were encouraging to Head Coach Ally Carter-Hattermann. With five games in just two days, she knew it would be a test for her squad as they competed against some of the top teams in the state of Florida. The Highlanders would finish the event with a 2 - 3 record but the confidence gained during the weekend could payoff later in the season.

2. 3. 2012 - Softball
Waiting for the 2012 spring season is finally over for the Gordon College women's softball team! The Highlanders will open play on Saturday in St. Augustine, Florida, with five games in just two days. Eagles Edge GC In Ten Innings
2. 2. 2012 - Baseball
TCC's Trent Higginbothem's one-out single in the bottom of the tenth scored Michael Arencibia from second base to give Tallahassee Community College (FL) a 2 - 1 win over Gordon College on Thursday. Big Monday, Big Win!
1. 30. 2012 - Men's Basketball
It came down to the final shot! Middle Georgia's Javan Wells three-point attempt bounced off the rim as time expired and Gordon College escaped with a 63 - 61 victory in Cochran. More importantly, it was a big win in the conference for the Highlanders. GC is now 14 - 7 on the year and 4 - 6 in the league.
One To Forget!
1. 29. 2012 - Men's Basketball
Gordon College only had nine points on the board at the nine minute mark of the first half against Central Georgia Tech on Saturday. With that kind of point production, you can't expect to win many games in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association as the Cougars cruised to a 111 - 92 victory. The Highlanders were led by Luther Huling as he tallied a personal best of 17 points. However, GC must be ready again as they make their third straight road trip and travel to Middle Georgia on Monday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in Cochran.
