Plant Biology

From molecules to ecosystems, the Plant Biology department embraces the entire spectrum of plant biology. The Plant Biology faculty and students publish in top journals, are well-funded by extramural grants, present their research in seminars and conferences all over the world, and serve on a variety of grant review panels and editorial boards.

Sociology

The Department of Sociology at the University of Georgia is devoted to the study of human social behavior in its many diverse and amazing forms. The undergraduate and graduate programs provide training in five specializations: Criminology, Deviance and Law; Culture; Race, Gender and Class; Social Psychology; and Work, Occupations and Organizations.

Institute of Native American Studies

Native American Studies is relatively new as a discipline, emerging only about thirty-five years ago. Though it continues to evolve, today Native American Studies is an exciting and vibrant field of inquiry with a network of scholars throughout North America. Central to it is the study of the Native nations of the Americas from the perspective of the indigenous peoples themselves.
