Mr. Brown provides consulting and educational services to economic development professionals, community leaders, and regional organizations. He also manages several training programs that focus on the unique needs of development authority executives and board members. His principle focus on traditional economic development is broadened by his interests in redevelopment and environmentally-related opportunities in economic and community development.

Prior experience in economic and community development includes professional practice at the local, regional, and state levels. Technical specialties include strategic planning, marketing, economic evaluation, infrastructure planning, professional training, and research management.

An active civic and professional volunteer, Mr. Brown provides leadership and technical expertise to several state, multi-state, and national organizations. He has been designated a “Certified Economic Developer” by the International Economic Development Council because of his many contributions to the profession.
