What is it?
Paralegal: The American Bar Association defines a paralegal or legal assistant as someone “… qualified by education, training, or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, government agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible.”
This program is designed to prepare graduates as exceptional paralegals. Graduates will have a broad knowledge of many areas of law and specific legal skills to enhance their role as non-lawyers in the delivery of legal services.
While paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public, graduates of this program will work efficiently with attorneys, clients, and the public and will demonstrate a high regard for ethical behavior, professional responsibility, and confidentiality.
