Cancer Registrars - More Than Just Statistics

Cancer Registrars play an enormous role in the nation’s fight against cancer.

The ultimate goal of collecting cancer information is to prevent and control cancer and to improve patient care.

The results

  • are evidence-based information that assists physicians in assessing the efficacy of diagnostic and therapeutic methods
  • aid to the decision-making about un-met patient needs , resource allocation and health planning

The information produced by Cancer Registrars and Cancer Registries forms the foundation for cancer-related research, treatment advances and prevention efforts.

This information exists and is accessible as a direct result of the work of thousands of Cancer Registrars in the United States.
