Welcome to Armstrong. Situated on a beautiful arboretum campus in charming and historic Savannah, Georgia, Armstrong was founded in 1935 by our city fathers, who were dedicated to providing the opportunity for citizens in our region to gain a quality education. Today as then, Armstrong holds strong to our founding values: our commitment to being a teaching-first university, our strong ties to Savannah, our sound professional preparation and our liberal arts core that prepares our graduates not just for careers, but for thoughtful, civically engaged lives.
I am honored to have joined Armstrong in July 2009, and to lead a talented and dedicated team of faculty, administration and staff who share our common and over-arching goal: to foster student success. Every aspect of the Armstrong experience points our students toward success: Teaching at Armstrong inspires and challenges our students. Hands-on learning opportunities allow research and discovery—of not just facts, but also a sense of self. Service and leadership opportunities make us better people and our community a better place. Professional experiences and connections made here last a lifetime.
Whether you visit Armstrong for the first time as a prospective student or parent, or return for a campus event as an alumni, you are sure to feel the sense of warmth and community that is Armstrong. Thank you for your interest, and I hope you visit us often, on campus or on the Internet.
Sincerely,
Linda M. Bleicken
President
