Plant Operations A Message from the Director

Armstrong Atlantic State University's Department of Plant Operations' staff and private partners take great pride in their role as stewards of a fast-growing Savannah university. With a full time-staff of 25, part-time / student staff of 4, and a private contract staff of 30+, Armstrong's Department of Plant Operations maintains approximately 700,000 square feet of facilities. Our goal is to provide safe, clean and well-maintained facilities that are conducive to Armstrong's educational mission.

We wear many hats as we pursue this goal. Plant Operations' responsibilities include Campus Life Safety, Hazardous Materials Inventory and Disposal, Construction Management, Energy Management, Solid Waste Management, Mechanical Systems Operations and Maintenance, Electrical Systems Operation and Maintenance, Plumbing Systems Operations and Maintenance, Equipment Transport, Landscape Planning and Maintenance, Custodial Services, Structural Services, and Motor Pool Operations.
