Extracurricular Activities

Fastrack International Trip

The Fast Track Professional MBA Program offers a variety of activities outside of the classroom. A significant benefit of the MBA experience is the connections it enables you to make with fellow students, alumni, and faculty. While part-time MBA students face challenges in balancing their daily work, family, and educational lives, students are encouraged to take advantage of the many social and professional development activities available. Professional workshops have been offered in the past covering a wide variety of topics including: effective presentation skills, leadership skills, negotiations, networking, financial modeling, and project management skills.

Future Alumni

The program has collaborated with the Full-Time MBA Program in Athens to organize student trips to New York City to visit investment banks and to Omaha, Nebraska to visit Berkshire Hathaway and meet investment guru, Warren Buffett. The program also coordinates social functions to encourage students and alumni to network and develop strong ties to the University of Georgia. Past social activities have included family picnics, Braves baseball outings, holiday parties, UGA tailgate functions, and golf outings.

Alumni Events

Homecoming Tailgate

The University of Georgia has over 250,000 alumni living and working around the globe including more than 50,000 graduates from the Terry College. Terry alumni maintain strong ties to the school and continue to support the mission of the college in many ways. Alumni stay engaged with the college in a number of ways including: serving on advisory boards, speaking in the classroom, hiring graduates, supporting capital campaigns, and recruiting new students.

In addition, the Terry College hosts a variety of events to encourage alumni connections such as Terry Third Thursday, a monthly breakfast speaker series in Buckhead, the largest annual economic forecasting event in the state of Georgia, an annual homecoming tailgate in Athens, and a variety of other social and networking events throughout the year.
