1. What are the credit hour requirements for the Fast Track Professional MBA Program?

The program requires 48 hours of academic credit.

2. How long will it take to earn my degree?

The program is two years in length and takes 23 months from start to finish. New cohort groups are admitted in September of each year.

3. What are the work experience, GMAT or GRE and GPA profiles for the program?

Information on the profile of the class can be found on our Class Profile page. The majority of students in the program have a minimum of three years of full-time experience and the class average is more than six years. You must be competitive relative to other applicants in the pool to be considered for admission.

4. What are the application requirements?

The process consists of an online application and application fee, academic transcripts, one essay, GMAT or GRE scores, TOEFL scores (if necessary), work history profile, collegiate/professional honors and activities and two online recommendations (a component of the online application.)

5. What if I have taken the GMAT or GRE more than once?

We will consider the higher of your scores for those tests taken within the past 5 years.

6. Can an applicant enter the program before taking the GMAT or GRE, or before formally being admitted to the MBA Program?

No. The GMAT or GRE is part of the application and is required before a decision on an application will be communicated. You must have taken the test within the past 5 years.

7. Is an interview required?

Interviews are optional. An interview may be requested by the admissions committee or by the applicant. The application file must be complete for an interview to be scheduled. To inquire about an interview, please call 678-985-6811.

8. Do I need an undergraduate degree in business to apply?

No. Undergraduate degree holders from an accredited institution, regardless of major, are eligible to apply. All students, regardless of undergraduate major, will be required to complete preparatory tutorials in basic business concepts and subject matter prior to first enrollment. The tutorials are web-based and are provided to students at no additional cost.

9. How do I apply?

To apply online, login to MyTerry MBA and create a profile.

10. What are the application deadlines?

We strongly encourage all applicants to submit the online application by May 30, however we continue to accept applications after that date if seats are still available.

11. How many new students enroll each year?

We will enroll groups of students (i.e., cohorts) for each of our Atlanta locations: Buckhead and Gwinnett. Each cohort will consist of 40-45 students. We will have at least one cohort in each location and more if there is sufficient demand.

12. Are students required to attend sessions year round?

Yes. The Fast Track Professional MBA Program is a two-year lockstep program. Students will take courses as a cohort group year round until completion of the program, which takes 23 months.

13. Where is the program located?

The Fast Track Professional MBA Program is offered in two locations in metro-Atlanta. One location is in Atlanta’s Buckhead community at Terry's Executive Education Center and the other facility is in Lawrenceville at UGA’s Gwinnett campus.

14. Is the faculty teaching in the program the same as those in the full-time program?

The majority of faculty teaching in the Fast Track Professional MBA Program is the same as those teaching in the MBA in Athens and in the Executive MBA in Atlanta. A few adjunct instructors with terminal degrees and extensive work experience also teach in the program.

16. How will the MBA degree appear on my diploma?

The degree does not differentiate between programs, formats, or location of the program. All diplomas and official University of Georgia transcript will state "Master of Business Administration".

17. If admitted, can I defer admission to the Fast Track Professional MBA Program?

A candidate may request deferment. Each request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
