Staff Attorney

Russ Hetzel is HeLP’s newest staff member.  Shortly after receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University in 1996, Russ started a residential construction firm.  In 2005, Russ began attending Georgia State University College of Law where he participated in evening classes while operating the business during the day.  Russ was invited to serve as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society Board and was named the Board Member of the year for 2006-2007.  During his final year at Georgia State Law, he participated in Fulton County Dispossessory Court’s mediation program and became a registered neutral.  As a result of his professional experience and his work as a landlord/tenant mediator, Russ is well-suited to address the myriad of housing concerns faced by HeLP’s clientele.  Additionally, his business background benefits HeLP in its collaborative endeavors with members of the medical, educational, and legal services community.
