II. Library Mission:

The mission of the Wetherbee Library/Learning Resources Center is to procure, organize, and provide to the eligible citizens of Southwest Georgia learning resources that support educational programs, services and/or leisure interests. ( Darton College Catalog 2006-2007 page 40)

III. Use of the Library:

  1. Library Users: The Library is open to Darton Students, Faculty and Staff and also to students attending other educational institutions and the general public. Groups in the area are encouraged to attend Library Orientation sessions. Arrangements can be made through the Circulation Desk. During periods of high Library use, priority is given to Darton Students.
  2. Computer Use: Library computers are primarily for internet and database research. Word-processing and other applications are available in the Computer Lab (G101 (229) 317-6754), Writing Lab (F202 (229) 317-6880), Reading Lab (F205 (229) 317-6879) and Foreign Language Lab (G225 (229) 317-6913). Microsoft Office applications are available on Library computers on an as available basis with research being the top priority.
