Dance Department
Mission Statement
The Darton Dance Department offers a comprehensive curriculum with courses in a variety of dance disciplines, and for students of all levels. The Darton College Dance Department's mission is to effectively train its dancers through courses in movement and theory. The program provides more than just a physical movement experience, it will stimulate students to explore their own creative potential, introduce them to dance artistry, and allow them to develop insight, perception, and an understanding of dance as a performing art. Students will also gain the evaluative skills needed to enhance wellness and healthy lifestyles through the integration of the mind, body, and spirit.
