Ben Crapps, ATC
Ben Crapps, ATC enters his fourth year at Darton College as the Head Athletic Trainer. Prior to coming to Darton College, Mr. Crapps has had several stops along the way that has included scholastic, collegiate, and professional levels that involved a stint in the Arena Football League. Mr. Crapps has a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Mr. Crapps is board certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a member of several professional organizations. Mr. Crapps is a native of Cartersville, GA. He is married and has two sons, Jake (6) and Parker (1).

Assistant Athletic Trainer (ATC)
Becky grew up in Leesburg, Georgia where she became involved in sports at the age of 4. She played basketball and softball through Middle School and High School at Lee County. She entered Darton College as a student in 2003, where she played softball for two years. During her standout career at Darton she accumulated several accolades included All Region Honors and The Scholar Athlete Award along with several other Academic scholarships and awards.
She continued her softball career as a walk on to The University of Georgia’s softball squad earning a scholarship and duties of starting catcher for two seasons. During her career at Georgia, she also received several awards including the Best Defensive Player, The Kim McClung Award, and The Scholar Athlete Award along with many other Academic endowment programs and honors.
After receiving her bachelors, she returned to UGA for her Masters. During her last year at UGA, she played on a tournament softball team, worked as a tutor for athletes, and completed her internship as a student ATC for the UGA football team which included their trip to the 2008 Sugarbowl where they defeated Hawaii.
She now resides in Albany with her dog, Spotty, who is a certified service dog and enjoys trips to the local senior citizen centers. Her other family includes 2 brothers, Freddie (27) and Michael (16), and a sister, Kelsie (8).
