Joe Ruhland is an assistant professor of finance at Georgia Southern University. Dr. Ruhland received his BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Ph.D. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia. His research areas of interest include asymmetric information, political risk and corporate governance. His work has been published in the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Journal of Insurance Regulation and Journal of Insurance Issues. Prior to returning to academics, Joe lived in Chicago, IL, working as an employee benefits consultant for Hewitt Associates, Aon Consulting and in private practice.
