Paralegal Certificate Program

The College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University’s Paralegal Certificate Program adheres to the highest professional curriculum and prepares you to work in law offices, banks, government agencies, corporations and real estate firms. All courses teach Georgia Law.

The program consists of 13 courses. The fee for each course is $279. You pay as you go with the total program cost being $3,627. Some courses require books; some do not. Your total book cost for the 13 courses is approximately $1,250. Each course meets for three hours once a week for six weeks. You arrange your own schedule. You can take one to four courses per six-week session. The 13 courses must be completed in 36 months. Take two courses each session and graduate in approximately 12 months.

Each course is taught in a classroom setting allowing for interaction with the instructor and other students. Students receive hands-on research experience in our on-site Joe R. Edwards Law Library, conduct a title search in Cobb County, and enjoy enlightening and entertaining guest speakers.

3D Tour

Take a 3D tour of our Law Library Classroom
Housed in the same room where daytime paralegal classes are held, our new Joe R. Edwards  law library serves as a tremendous asset and convenience for both students and instructors. Its namesake, Joe R. Edwards, was widely known as “everyman’s attorney” in Atlanta. He passed away in 1999 at the age of 71.

Employment/Internship

Law firms call us regularly with job and internship openings. We email the information to current students and recent graduates. Qualified applicants contact the employers directly. Email paralegal@kennesaw.edu to be added to the list once you begin the Paralegal Certificate Program. The postings are for classroom students only as the positions are for Georgia Law trained paralegals and students.
