Event Sponsorship

Employers often ask us how they can increase their visibility with students and support the Career Center’s efforts. As a result, we have identified the following sponsorship opportunities.

Click here for fee information and more details on the upcoming Career Center event sponsorship opportunities below:

Fall Career Fair Business & Dining Etiquette Dinner/Reception
Offered the evening before the Fall Career Fair, this event is designed to help you “PRE-RECRUIT” UGA’s Best and Brightest before the next day’s Fair! As recruiting on college campuses becomes increasingly more competitive, we think that it is the quality touchpoints that will make a definitive difference in your recruiting success. What better way to develop an additional touchpoint to help you build your recruiting base than to participate with 250 students in an event with an instructional networking component, a seated dinner with etiquette instruction, and a dessert bar networking hour.  Your sponsorship of a table entitles your company to two employer representatives attending this premiere event!

Career Fair Sponsorship
This is an opportunity for a company to significantly increase its campus visibility through a sole sponsorship of one of our Career Fairs. This sponsorship includes premiere Career Fair location with two tables, recognition in all of the advertising we create for each event in a sponsored by “Tag Line,” including invitations e-mailed to students; posters distributed throughout campus, as well as signage at the event.

Diversity Recruiting Breakfast
This marquee event, held the morning of our Fall Career Fair, provides employers with the opportunity to network with approximately 100 of UGA’s top diverse students. Employers attending this event have the advantage of gaining access to this group of students prior to them connecting with the employers who will be attending the career fair. With a new format that fosters more intimate networking, this event will enable employers to identify premier talent!  Employers will also receive a resume book highlighting the resumes of student participants.

Diversity Recruiting Dinner at Maggiano’s
This first-class event connects our talented diverse students with employers who are interested in recruiting a diverse workforce. Last year, over 100 students traveled to Atlanta with UGA Career Center staff to network and dine with participating employers.  We also produce a resume book consisting of student participants’ resumes.

Multicultural Professional Development Conference
One of our new premiere events at UGA, the Multicultural Professional Development Conference (MPDC) is a half-day career conference with a focus on diversity issues that will enhance the career skills of participating students. This conference will provide opportunity for 100 students to attend break-out sessions on topics that are most relevant to their cultural and career development needs. During the event, students will hear from professionals representing UGA's most active recruiters on topics such as interviewing, networking, career exploration, transitioning to the workplace, and other valuable career skills.  Additionally, students will participate in a "practice" Networking Career Fair at the conclusion of conference.

Excellence in Education and Leadership (EXCEL) Awards Ceremony
The purpose of this awards ceremony is to recognize the academic accomplishments and leadership achievements of multicultural and international students at the University of Georgia. Recipients of the awards are outstanding juniors and seniors who have maintained a 3.3 grade point average or higher during their time at UGA. The Career Center co-sponsors this event with the Department of Intercultural Affairs.

Terry Career Boot Camp
This event occurs twice a year, prior to the Fall Career Fair and Spring Career Fair, and is designed to equip students with skills necessary to navigate the recruiting season. During the event, employers interact one-on-one with Terry College of Business students (and other students)  and provide resume critiques, general advice, and presentations. This sponsorship includes recognition in all of the advertising we create as well as signage at the event.

Resume Critique Days
Special Resume Critique Days are held several days prior to the Fall Career Fair and Spring Career Fair to help students get ready for the career fair and the recruiting season. During the event, employers interact one-on-one with students and provide resume critiques using the UGA Career Center Student Career Guide for samples and a resume rubric for feedback. This sponsorship includes recognition in all of the advertising we create as well as signage at the event.
