The University of Georgia Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute (BHSI) was established in 2001 to coalesce and expand the research strengths of UGA and to develop new interdisciplinary curricula in these fields. The Institute was created to help increase the University’s accomplishments as a leading source for research discoveries, training, and new technology relevant to understanding, diagnosing, preventing and treating disease.
