Officially launched in April 2012, Women’s Council is driven by the alumnae of Kennesaw State through its focus on leadership development, volunteerism and support of the University. Additionally, Women’s Council seeks to keep you connected to the many initiatives and programs offered for KSU alumnae.
Women’s Council partners with campus and community organizations. The council collaborates with the League of Women Voters – Marietta/Cobb, Cobb Woman’s Club and Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to present the annual Women’s History Day Program, held annually on the first Saturday of March. Women’s Council also works to publicize workshops, seminars and events produced by Coles College of Business, Museum of History & Holocaust Education and University College among other campus partners.
Volunteer to lead a committee. Work with us in planning the Women’s History Day Program, seeking panelists, helping with registration or publicizing the event. Assist in selecting and planning an Alumni Association volunteer event or help chart the direction for Women’s Council.
Meet us at an Alumni Association event. Women’s Council avidly supports the monthly and special events hosted by the Alumni Association.
Become a mentor. Women’s Council works alongside the KSU Alumni Association and the Black Alumni Society as mentors to share meaningful academic and professional experiences with our young owls.
