State scholarship helps students REACH
University of Georgia will join in the efforts of awarding qualifying low-income students through the state's new needs-based REACH Scholarship program. UGA will match the REACH Scholarship award for any REACH scholars that are accepted to and enroll in the institution.

PhotoSpeak Out for Species will present “A Fall From Freedom” Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Miller Learning Center. A part of the annual Animal Voices Film Festival, the movie highlights the captivity of whale and dolphins in the entertainment business with a look at marine parks and aquariums.
Georgia vs. Tech in Tennis
PhotoThe Georgia men’s tennis team will meet rival Georgia Tech on the courts at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex Feb. 14 at 4 p.m.
Now through Feb. 16 and Feb. 20-23, the University Health Center will sponsor total cholesterol screenings and blood pressure checks from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. each day. The screenings are free for students with an I.D. and $10 for faculty and staff. Participants must fast (no food or drink after midnight, except water).
