Performance to celebrate book documenting traditional folk music
Traditional ballads and fiddle tunes will be heard at the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries on the UGA campus June 15 to celebrate the recently released book "Mary Lomax Ballad Book-America's Great 21st Century Ballad Singer" by Art Rosenbaum.

PhotoThe State Botanical Garden of Georgia will have a “Full Moon Hike” on May 25 from 7-8:30 p.m. Participants, who should meet at the fountain in front of the Visitor Center, will learn about the moon, constellations and nocturnal creatures. The cost is $5 per person or $15 per family.
Legion Pool to open for summer
PhotoLegion Pool will open on May 23 for the summer season. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. daily through July 31, and 2-7 p.m. Aug. 1-8. Admission is $3 for students, $4 for faculty and staff, $3 for children ages 3-15 (who must be accompanied by an adult) and $5 for guests and members of Friends of Campus Life. A valid UGACard is required for students, faculty and staff.
University to close for Memorial Day
In honor of all Americans who have died in wars, the university will commemorate Memorial Day. There will not be any classes and all offices will be closed on May 27.
