Coordinate the undergraduate and graduate Interdisciplinary Disability Studies Certificate programs in collaboration with IHDD faculty.
Develop and teach IHDD university courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level (4 courses per year).
Supervise practicum, internship, and independent study students. Develop opportunities for students to participate in internships, assistantships and practica consistent with the mission of IHDD and identified training needs.
Plan, implement, and continually update a comprehensive Interdisciplinary Pre-service Education Plan for IHDD.
Chair the Interdisciplinary Education Committee of the IHDD, which has responsibility for overseeing the planning and implementation of all IHDD Interdisciplinary Education activities.
Build cooperative and collaborative relationships with IHDD faculty and work with faculty from across campus to recruit students from diverse educational, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of the IHDD Core Curriculum.
Coordinate the collection of interdisciplinary training data to meet the requirements of ADD and AUCD.
Evaluate the interdisciplinary education component of the IHDD, including ongoing evaluation of trainee satisfaction, progress toward objectives, and long-term trainee follow-up.
Submit proposals to secure funding for special initiatives and projects relevant to the mission of IHDD.
Write papers relating to topics in the disabilities field, including special projects and initiatives of the IHDD, and submit those papers for consideration for publication in professional journals.
Assist the Director in assuring continued compliance with IHDD program criteria in the area of interdisciplinary pre-service training.
