Latin American and Caribbean Studies Institute

The Latin American and Caribbean Studies Institute seeks to stimulate long-term collaboration with Latin American and Caribbean counterparts, to review and develop curriculum in the languages and culture of the region, to administer an undergraduate degree program, to organize and participate in regional conferences and workshops, and to promote collaborative research and academic exchange among scholars and students with agreements wiht Latin american Universities

Classics

The undergraduate and graduate degree programs of the Department of Classics rank among the largest and strongest of Classics departments in the United States. Our students have won numerous competitive scholarships and other awards, and our graduates have gone on to excellent jobs in a wide range of careers - including teaching at the primary and secondary school levels - and to Ph.D. programs at a variety of prestigious universities.
