UGA FCS | Housing and Consumer Economics

Undergraduate

We offer four undergraduate majors: Consumer Economics ( minor), Consumer Journalism, Family Financial Planning, Housing ( minor), and Housing with an emphasis in Residential Property Management. Each offers diverse career opportunities. You can also minor in Consumer Economics or Housing.

Undergraduate Program UGA-Griffin Campus

The University of Georgia offers bachelor's degree programs in several areas of study at the Griffin campus. These are upper-division programs open to transfer students or those seeking a second bachelor's degree.

Graduate Programs

We offer graduate programs leading to the Master of Science, thesis and non-thesis options, and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees.  The graduate program provides in-depth study in consumer economics, family financial planning, or housing within a broader, interdisciplinary context.  Course work is centered in the department, but draws upon offerings from across the college and throughout the university.  The interdisciplinary nature of the materials makes these related offerings essential.

Extension and Outreach

Our outreach faculty develop and implement programming that makes a real difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Programs cover a range of topics including consumer economics, financial management, workforce preparedness, housing, and community development. Internship opportunities.
