We are a center of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, combining the missions of research and Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development logo Extension by providing feasibility and marketing services; agricultural and demographic data for private and public decision makers; and conducting analysis related to policy issues in Georgia agriculture and providing that information to relevant decision makers.

Flavor of Georgia Winner 2012

Winners in the 2012 Flavor of Georgia food product contest have been selected! Congratulations to High Road Craft Ice Cream of Atlanta - selected as the grand champion and Dairy category winner this year with their Brown Butter Praline Ice Cream. The annual contest casts the spotlight on delicious, original food from right here in Georgia. Other category winners were:

• Confections – Richard Byne, of Byne Blueberry Farm won with Dark Chocolate Blueberries
• Jams, jellies and sauces – Lauri Jo Bennett, of Lauri Jo’s Southern Style Canning won with Muscadine Pepper Jelly
• Barbecue and hot sauces – Griffin Bufkin, of Southern Soul Barbecue won with Sweet Georgia Soul Signature BBQ Sauce
• Meat - Debra McFadden-Bryant, of GeeChee Girl Foods won with her Seafood Gumbo
• Other products – Mercier Orchards with the company’s Sparkling Apple Cider
• Snack foods – Diane Pfeifer, of Strawberry Patch and Grits Bits won with Vidalia Onion Baked Cheese Snacks
• People’s Choice – Cindy Fulghum, of Three Generations of Georgia won with Three Generations of Georgia Chicken Log
