UGA business school celebrates its centennial
The University of Georgia Terry College of Business will commemorate its 100th year in business education this summer. The oldest business school in the South will honor its legacy during several annual events and will chronicle its history with interactive content online and in print.

The Professional Entertainment and Sports Association in the University of Georgia Terry College of Business will host the PESA Summit 2012 on March 31 at Sanford Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. The student conference will include panels, workshops, seminars and professional networking opportunities related to the industries of television, film, fashion, music and sports.

The undergraduate program at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business ranks 50th nationally and 20th among public business schools in the latest issue of Bloomberg Businessweek. It is the fifth time in six years that Terry has ranked among the top 25 public undergraduate business programs.

Protect Athens Music events aim to guide local musicians
The University of Georgia School of Law's Sports and Entertainment Law Society has joined forces with UGA's Music Business Program and Nuçi's Space to host a conference on current music industry business and legal issues. Open to the public, the conference will be held Feb. 23 from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Melting Point in downtown Athens. In addition, a free legal clinic for local musicians will be held Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Nuçi's Space, near downtown.
