Caroline Wingate, a second-year pre-journalism student at the University of Georgia, will host a screening of the documentary "Death by Alcohol: The Sam Spady Story" on March 5 at 7 p.m. in the Tate Student Center Theater. A panel discussion on binge drinking and the warning signs of alcohol poisoning will follow the film.

College of Education study finds exercise reduces anxiety in women
Approximately 3 percent of the U.S. population suffers from excessive, uncontrollable worry that reduces their health and quality of life. The condition, known as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, is difficult to overcome and is accompanied by a host of physical symptoms, including fatigue, muscle tension, irritability and poor sleep. However, a new University of Georgia study shows that regular exercise can significantly reduce anxiety symptoms in patients with GAD.

UGA Holiday Concert will feature choral ensembles, symphony orchestra
The University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music will present its annual Holiday Concert on Dec. 1 and 2 at 8 p.m. in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $25 for the general public and $5 for students and are available through the Performing Arts Center Box Office at 706/542-4400. Proceeds from the ticket sales will support the 2nd Thursday Scholarship fund in the school of music.
