Adult Learners at Kennesaw State University are students that fall under the following criteria:
- Previously graduated from high school, or whose high school class graduated, five or more years ago
- Earned a high school diploma or satisfactorily completed the GED
- If previously attended college, completed fewer than 30 transferable semester hours of college credit
Adult learners are offered a variety of learning and success resources. These include online program orientations, peer mentoring, virtual advising, online tutoring and an adult learner resources center.

Begin by meeting our Adult Learner Re-Entry Team. Adult Learners have access to a dedicated team of professionals to help them get acquainted with the university, learn about programs and requirements, and receive guidance through the college re-entry process.
Kennesaw State has identified specific online degree programs as Adult Learner Friendly. These are fully online undergraduate programs in a variety of subjects.
Kennesaw State University is committed to providing a seamless transition for the transfer experience. Transfer Evaluation Services serves as the liaison between acceptance to the university and academic advising by awarding transfer credit and applying relevant credit to the degree program.
Once accepted, Kennesaw State provides award winning Adult Learner support services. Academic tutoring, planning, career service sessions and an adult learner online community are all available to Kennesaw State University students.
