It will also examine ethical and public policy issues presented by government efforts to ensure the safety and efficacy of drugs and medical devices and the safety and purity of foods and cosmetics. 2011 Syllabus Food and Drug Law Class

Updated: May 20, 2014, 3:07 pm - File download file

Esteemed Students:

Welcome to the Fall 2001 Food and Drug Law Class!  If this message is coming to you by mistake please excuse any inconvenience and advise me by return message.

Attached you will find the syllabus for this class.  As you can see from the syllabus, the bulk of the reading assignments for the first 2 classes are from two reference works on reserve in the law library rather than the Hutt Merrill and Grossman text.  Please advise if you have any problem getting access to these references.

I call your attention to the administrative details found in the syllabus which we will also discuss in the first class on August 15 2011.  Please be prepared to ask any questions about the syllabus during this class.

In addition, I will be asking each of you to provide a brief introduction and be prepared to discuss the following topics:

  • Why are you in this class?
  • What do you hope to gain from this class?
  • What life experience have you had, if any, that involves food and drug law?
  • Please be prepared to discuss an experience, person or occurrence that influenced your decision to attend law school.

I look forward to seeing you all on Monday, August 15, 2011!

All the best,

Chris Hagenbush
