Meningitis and Housing

Meningococcal Vaccine- Georgia state law requires all students residing in University housing to receive information about meningococcal disease.  All students residing in campus housing are required to either provide proof they have received the meningitis vaccine within five years of enrollment or provide a signed waiver acknowledging the risk to themselves and others of not receiving the meningitis immunization.

The Meningitis Statement, regarding the meningococcal requirements, will be provided by University Housing during the housing application process.  Prior to the student being allowed to move into campus housing, proof of immunization or the Meningitis Statement must be submitted.

The Office of the Registrar receives reports of the meningococcal immunization submissions via KSU Connect.
