The Tenth & Final English Horn Masterclasses

with Carolyn Hove

June 2015

"2015 was our 10th and final year of our English Horn Master Classes. We've enjoyed each of these past ten years. It's been wonderful to meet and work with so many talented English Horn players. We have accomplished what we set out to do, so it's time to move on to other things and awaiting projects. We would like to thank F. Lorée - Paris for their generous support of our classes and Mrs. Beverly Schiltz for funding the "Grover Schiltz Memorial Scholarship." Mark and I would also like to thank Dr. Geralyn Giovanetti (Brigham Young University), Dr. Tim Clinch (Ball State University) and Dr. Susan Tomkiewicz (Columbus Sate University) for hosting our classes during the past ten years.

Note that the 2016 International Double Reed Society's Annual Conference will be held at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University from June 26 - 30. Dr. Susan Tomkiewicz and Dr. Ronald Wirt will host the event. You have seen firsthand how beautifully "Dr. T" organizes events, so the 2016 IDRS Conference will be terrific, no doubt! We certainly hope to see you then, too."

All the best,

~The 2014 9th Annual Masterclasses~
