The Integrated Media degree program focuses on traditional print and broadcast media as well as Internet, digital, and social media. Students build a fundamental knowledge of communication theory, but their area of study is more practically grounded in the growing demand for multi-media content producers. A graduate of the program is prepared to work in any number of settings, including journalism, entertainment, public relations, or marketing.
Broadcast Media Opportunities
Students interested in video production, television, and radio broadcasting have opportunities for experience through our two production studios and WCUG 88.5 FM Cougar Radio. The production studios provide a training environment for on-air program production using the most advanced technology in the community. The student-operated radio station provides an environment for training in on-air work to production and everything in between.
