UGA Gwinnett counseling graduates shine
When Gwinnett County Public Schools announced its counseling professionals of the year for 2012, three recent UGA Gwinnett graduates were recognized for their excellence in the field. Brandee Appling of Bay Creek Middle, graduate of the Ed.S. program, won the Middle School Counselor of the Year Award. Tinisha Parker of the Gwinnett County Online Campus and Ed.S. program graduate, won the Secondary School Counselor of the Year Award. Assistant Principal Dr. Paul Johnson of Peachtree Ridge High, a 2011 Ph.D. program graduate, won the Mary Joe Hannaford Counseling Advocate of the Year. Congratulations!

UGA's College of Education is again ranked among the best in the U.S. for its graduate degree offerings. The college, which offers graduate programs at the Gwinnett campus, scored well in the latest rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
