The Chemistry Olympiad incorporates three different tiers:

  • Local level: qualifying exams can be administered on site at high schools.
  • National level: 13 Georgia students come to Kennesaw State University to take the national exam.
  • International level: selected students spend two weeks at study camp to demonstrate their ability. Four students are then chosen to represent the United States at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).
